Dr. Stephanie E. Freeman

Dr. Stephanie Freeman is an environmental scientist, horticulturist, GIS professional, educator, and agricultural innovator. She founded Eccentric Earth to connect food growing with science, technology, creativity, and opportunity. 

Dr. Freeman’s multidisciplinary background includes horticulture, forestry, plant and soil science, environmental science, GIS, remote sensing, and education. Her expertise provides the scientific foundation for Eccentric Earth’s growing resources, environmental learning, and technology-based experiences. 

Dr. Freeman founded Eccentric Earth LLC in 2021 to make food growing and science more approachable. She wanted to create hands-on experiences that help families and communities connect with plants, healthy food, creativity, and agricultural learning. 

Dr. Freeman envisions Eccentric Earth as a connected platform where microgreen kits, science, food-safety education, GIS, digital exploration, storytelling, and entrepreneurship inspire curiosity, confidence, knowledge, and opportunity.
